Learn which devices and operating systems support enrollment with Kandji
Nearly all Apple devices are supported. Windows, Android, or other non-Apple devices are not supported. You can read our platform overview for more information about Kandji.
As of Friday, November 8th 2024, macOS 11 Big Sur and iOS 15 are considered deprecated in Kandji. Deprecation means that Kandji will no longer add features or bug fixes for these operating system versions. On Wednesday, February 5th 2025, Kandji will begin refusing new enrollments from devices running them.
Computers
Kandji allows the management of the following supported computers with a combination of Apple's MDM framework and Kandji's proprietary macOS Agent.
Supported Operating Systems:
- macOS 15 Sequoia
- macOS 14 Sonoma
- macOS 13 Ventura
- macOS 12 Monterey
- macOS 11 Big Sur
Mobile Devices
Kandji allows the management of the following mobile devices using Apple's MDM protocol.
Supported Operating Systems:
- iOS 15 and higher
- iPadOS 15 and higher
- tvOS 15 and higher
Additional Requirements
- All hardware and software combinations must be officially supported by Apple and not virtualized. Kandji will not support any exploitations of firmware, hardware, or operating systems, or operating systems running within virtual machines.
- Active internet connection
- Free space required is related to applications specified to be deployed to each device.
End of Support
The following operating systems are End of Support in Kandji.
- macOS 10.15 and earlier
- iOS 14 and earlier
- iPadOS 14 and earlier
- tvOS 14 and earlier
End of Support means that Kandji no longer allows enrollments or provides support for these operating system versions. A device running an operating system that qualifies as End of Support will receive an error response from enrollment attempts and require an update to a supported operating system to enroll with Kandji.
