How to Submit Diagnostics

Learn how to submit diagnostic data from a Mac to Kandji

During advanced troubleshooting, the inspection of more detailed computer data may be necessary. Submitting diagnostics to Kandji will allow the support team to help you better by having all available information about a specific device. This information includes logs, operating system version, and other relevant Kandji agent data without infringing on user privacy.  For information on submitting diagnostic data for macOS, please see our How to Generate a Sysdiagnose in macOS support article.

Submitting Diagnostics using the Kandji Menu Bar

If the Kandji menu bar icon is hidden, it can be revealed again from the Kandji Self Service application.
  1. Select the Kandji bee from the menu bar.
  2. Click the settings gear.
  3. Choose Submit Diagnostics... from the dropdown menu.
  4. Optionally, add comments describing the issue you're experiencing.
  5. Click Submit.

  1. Open the Self Service app.
  2. Click Device Info.
  3. Click the ellipses next to Sync.
  4. Select Submit Diagnostics.
  5. Optionally, add comments describing the issue you're experiencing.
  6. Click Submit.
