Licensing the Microsoft Defender Auto App

  • Add the Microsoft Defender Auto App to your Library

  1. Login to your Defender portal.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Endpoints > Onboarding.

  3. Select macOS as the operating system.

  4. Select Mobile Device Management as the deployment method.

  5. Select Download onboarding package (WindowsDefenderATPOnboardingPackage.zip).

  1. Extract WindowsDefenderATPOnboardingPackage.zip you downloaded.

  2. Locate the WindowsDefenderATPOnboarding.plist downloaded as part of your Onboarding Package.

  3. Change file extension from .plist to .mobileconfig.

  1. Navigate to Library in the left-hand navigation bar.

  2. Click Add New on the top-right, and choose Custom Profile.

  3. Click Add & Configure.

  4. Give the new Custom Profile a Name. 

  5. Assign to your desired Assignment Maps or Classic Blueprints. 

  6. Upload the WindowsDefenderATPOnboarding.mobileconfig you created earlier.

  7. Click Save.
