The device will remain offline until it can check in again or one of the following actions is taken.![](https://cdn.document360.io/0844b095-d720-4a7b-bb17-ec97d9bc6e41/Images/Documentation/1u0XKVEMdOQvWpJY8gzkhaq2XeG6j5rYhQ.png) #### Reactivate To bring a device out of "Offline" status, it must be turned on with an active Internet connection. Once it completes a check-in with Kandji, the device will be removed from the "Offline" section. A Mac can complete a check-in with Kandji from the standard login or lock screen or from the Passport Login Window. It cannot check in from the FileVault login screen after a Mac restarts. #### Remove from Account If Kandji should no longer look for this device, follow [these steps](/v1/docs/deleting-a-device-record-and-uninstalling-kandji) to remove it from your account. Carefully review the ramifications of removing a device from Kandji before proceeding. #### Reinstall If a device was erased, Kandji must be re-installed manually or via MDM with Automated Device Enrollment to operate properly. Kandji will automatically link the old and new records using the UUID and serial number. See the [Devices](/v1/docs/devices) section of our Knowledge Base for more detailed information about taking action on devices.
