Kai

What is Kai?

Kai is an AI-powered conversational tool integrated into Prism. It simplifies the process of generating reports by allowing you to ask questions in natural language. This approach eliminates the need for complex filtering and custom report creation.

What does Kai do?

Kai helps admins get information by turning questions into actionable reports. When an admin asks a question about device data, Kai generates a report based on the query. It provides a concise summary of the relevant data, along with a link to the full Prism report containing all the underlying data.

For example, you can ask questions like:

  • "What versions of Zoom are installed across my devices?"

  • "Which OS versions are installed?"

  • "Which devices have FileVault turned off?"

  • "Which devices have Activation Lock enabled?"

Using Kai with Kandji

Kai is available to all Kandji customers, and enabled by default. Type your question, and Kai will handle the rest. When you use Kai, you'll receive both a summary view of your requested information and a link to the detailed data in Prism, where you can view full table representations with all relevant device attributes.

Managing access:

  • Account Owners can enable or disable Kai for the entire tenant under Settings > General.

  • When enabled, all users with access to Prism can use Kai.

Privacy Considerations

Kai is designed to protect your privacy. Each interaction with Kai is a standalone session, and no previous conversations are logged or retained.

Regarding data handling, we adhere to high standards for privacy and security. We hold ISO 42001 certification, which ensures our AI processes comply with strict guidelines for maintaining data privacy.

Your data is stored securely within Kandji’s infrastructure. Kai only accesses a limited portion of your Prism data—just what's necessary to answer your question. If you don't use Kai, it won't access your data. When working with large language models (LLMs), they do not store, use for training, or retain any of your data.
